FREEPORT LNG WELCOMES HOME IRAQ WAR VETERAN

A group of Freeport LNG employees lined the streets of Jones Creek along with thousands of other supporters on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, to welcome home Sgt. Brad Thomas. Brad is the nephew of Freeport LNG Shift Supervisor Doug Thomas. In late 2007, Sgt. Brad Thomas was deployed in Iraq and suffered a traumatic brain injury during a roadside bombing attack. Freeport FLNG and its employees had donated funds to help build a new home for Brad and his family. The house is equipped with features designed to facilitate the care that Brad will now require.

Brad was flown to the Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport from a rehabilitation center in Florida and was triumphantly escorted home to Jones Creek by his family, a number of emergency vehicles from all over the area and the Brazoria County Cavalry motorcycle group.
